My personal preference is to always use a terracotta pot for olive tress! Not only do they look stunning in terracotta pots but this is because they are porous. This helps with drainage. Talking about drainage make sure you have holes in the bottom of the container to help with drainage. Examine the rootball of your tree you want to make sure the pot is slightly larger but don’t be tempted to put the olive tree into a massive pot. Simply increase the pot size in stages.
